I have a bracelet stamped 925 with CZ (Silver with Cubic Zirconia I presume) and it is gold plated. The plating is all discolorerd and graying. I’d like to clean off the plating and just have the silver. Is there a way to do this?

This will have to be done by your local jeweler. The process is simply a reversal of the original plating process. The way jeweler is plated is having a beaker of gold plating solution then applying electricity to it. The way to remove plating is by having a beaker of electro stripping solution and reversing the electricity to it. This will pull the gold plating off the braclet and apply it on an anode (metal strip).

I’m getting married in October and I received a gorgeous diamond engagement ring with ruby side stones. I am trying to find a CZ engagement ring that has a diamond centerstone and ruby side stones to wear when we go on trips (i lost a precious ring once on a cruise and ever since I have never worn good jewelry away from home) I am having a very hard time finding one at a reasonable price (I would like to pay less than $500). I am unable to wear sterling silver or platinum clad jewelry so it would need to be solid white gold.
Any help is appreciated…10 points if you can find what I’m looking for!

I have purchased a cubic zirconia wedding set (unfortunatly I am not in a finincial situation to drop a few k or even hundred on a nice ring:not yet)from the website LIMOGESjewelry.com and it lasted for about 1 year. then the finish started to peel off. I called the company and they replaced it. Now the new one less than a month old is already starting to peel. Does anyone know of a place to get a ring that looks great and real and wont break or peel?

Be sure that you get sterling silver and you won’t have the peeling problem.

cubic Zirconias are basicly just cut glass and the glass could be dyed before cutting and that gives the different colors.
